How it all started…

Back in 1980, I was busy being born in a hospital in Texas while Ben was just a thought… a beautiful one I would guess but still just a thought nevertheless!! Surrounded by amazing music from George Benson, Al Jarreau, Barry White to Rick James, Earth Wind & Fire, Kool & the Gang, Minnie Riperton, Whitney Houston, Janet Jackson… the seeds were being planted for what was to come in the future…

Some years later Ben upgraded from just a thought to arriving into the world in beautiful Winchester. Growing up Ben was fortunate to have access to his parents record collection.. In this ‘said’ collection included artists such as MJ, Level 42, Steely Dan, Thomas Dolby, Van Halen, Prince, Peter Gabriel, James Brown… to name but a few. Im sure the music in the 80′s was quite exciting in the UK…

So,fast forward to the noughties & 2005 is the year. Session singing & Songwriting was my craft,Playing guitar & drums for current artists was Ben’s, the London music scene was buzzing & we both were gigging a lot so it was inevitable we were bound to meet at some point. But DivaGeek wasn’t born until 2006 when we first wrote together & started working on Vula’s debut EP ‘If U Want It‘… Including 5 tracks & 2 remixes the EP ‘If U Want It‘ was independently released digitally thru DivaGeek Records on July 2008. With this EP we’ve managed to play live across the UK as well as going abroad & we’ve supported great artists including Loose Ends & Musiq Soulchild.

So with that under our belts it’s very natural to move on & create more music… With a pinch of feel good factor & the help of some very talented friends along the way, we are making what we wanna hear. Also with our influences & experience in this industry we wanna bring you a lil’ piece of our magic & hope you move, dance, singalong, blast-out & enjoy what we do!!
